To each his own, but for me, I am still sold on my ZL1. If I were a serious track driver I might consider the Z28. But I happen to love the creature comforts AND horsepower that the ZL1 gives me.

Same reason I'd get a ZL1 over a Z/28. I don't track, but I've always had a love for Z/28's since the 2nd Gen. My neighbor had a two-toned brown one w/nitrous. He died racing it. But, that car was a BEAST.

1. cost?? 2. Ride?? 3. speed? I loved the LS7 in my Z06 but the LSA does make power quicker and easier in some ways. The 7K rpm of the LS7 rocks though. If this thing is cheaper than a ZL1 I would buy it over the ZL1 in a heartbeat. If it is the same or more I would be torn. It has the carbon brakes which are bad a$$ but are very expensive to service. like the looks of a 2013 ZL1 better than the 2014 Z/28 maninly due to the hood and not sure about the new rear yet. if that 3 seconds number is real then this camaro should be right on par with a Z06 or GTR handling I would think which is crazy. Ls7's are longtubes, cam, and CAI away from having great power too.

ZL1 seems to work well for the casual track person who wants the daily creature comforts we are used to (radio, softer suspension, air conditioning, hids) whereas the Z28 is a dedicated track car. If you bought the ZL1 just thinking about the track, then it looks like you will love the day when your dropping off the ZL1 and picking up a new Z28. Either way you will have one of the most advanced Camaros out there. It also makes me wonder how long the 1LE package will be offered. Different price points though, so maybe it will continue.

I want to know when the carbon ceramic brakes will be fitted onto the ZL1? They are going ass backwards! That should have been an option on the ZL1! Don't believe everything you see and hear.

the thing has NO radio, you can get NO AC and it has no sound deadening and manual seats..
this is a AWESOME car, and I really might like to get ahold of those brakes and seata later, but the ZL1 and the Z 28 are not sopposed to be the same car or on the same playing firld and gm did a great job of buikding a dedicated track car.. the zl1 is still going to outrun it in a straight line because the 300 pound weight reduction is not going to make up for the 60-80 hp (at the wheels z06 make about 440 to the tires) difference. This car is a great idea and i wish i could own both.. ill keep my zl1..

People said the ZL1 is a race car..... Ha.... this is a true streetable race car. All the basic amenities removed.... no AC standard says it all. ZL1 ultimate street Camaro <- street car that can run reliably on the race track Z28 ultimate road course Camaro <- streetable race car Copo ultimate drag race Camaro <- non streetable race car
