I don't want to take the attention away from this guy, I'm glad he's okay and it's unfortunate what happened. I know the stereotype, but not ALL kids mistreat their new cars. I take better care of my car than ANYONE at my school.

First of all the most important thing is that everyone is ok and everyone was able to walk away and talk about it.
I totaled my 68 Camaro years ago while i was living in Mass. I was driving along and i slid on some black ice which made the car slide sideways into a telephone pole on the drivers door. I never saw it and there was nothing i could do about it once the car was sliding and out of control. I was and am still grateful i didn't kill or hurt myself or anyone else. It only takes a second for something to happen. Take this as a learning experience and move on. |

I would say you need to be looking for a new car. Shit happens to all of us. Main thing is that you both walked away.

That pushes the resale up on my V6 just ever so slightly, one less car in the supply pool. =p For real though, it sucks to see that happen. I'm glad to finally see someone admit they screwed up. It kind of hits home, because I just bought my own as a 20-year-old as well.

11000 miles. Insurance company says my car was worth $24,900 so I got a good down payment.
