J pipe add good idea? For $60 I say yes!

So I did a muffler delete, and like the sound... It's on a v6. I dropped into a muffler shop today and asked about j-pipe add, they said they can add it for $60-70 OTD.

I'm thinking I'm taking it in at 8am tomorrow unless I can find a reason not to... Wiki has good info ( Stole from c4 forum )

Just another name for Helmholtz resonance.

More info here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helmholtz_resonance

Interesting stuff here: When air is forced into a cavity, the pressure inside increases. When the external force pushing the air into the cavity is removed, the higher-pressure air inside will flow out. However, this surge of air flowing out will tend to over-compensate, due to the inertia of the air in the neck, and the cavity will be left at a pressure slightly lower than the outside, causing air to be drawn back in. This process repeats with the magnitude of the pressure changes decreasing each time.

I think with my having straight pipes, from axle back, I can mimic the solo setup quite easy, the guy is going to lift it tomorrow (today he just slid under car in the lot).
