Anyone gone from a Challenger to a Camaro?
What can you tell me about it? Do/Did you regret it? Can you offer any advice?
I've got a 2009 Hemi Orange Challenger SRT8 and looking at the 2011 Synergy Green 2SS Camaro. My husband has the 2010 Cyber Gray, so we do have one in the family. I've driven it around. I guess I'm just on the fence about it. |

I think you probably have the best situation to compare

IMO, keep the Challenger. If hubby has a Camaro. Wouldn't you MUCH rather have two different horses in the barn then just a horse of the proverbial different color?
I recently drove an R/T auto and LOVED it. I would not trade my Camaro but if the wallet allowed, I'd be sporting an R/T track pack 6-speed in B5 blue also. I just like the track pack on the R/T better than the SRT. |

Hello!

We had our SS first, then bought a SRT8 Challenger...honestly I wouldn't trade the Challenger to get a car that's already in your driveway!
Comparing the two...it's hard. While both are "muscle cars" they really are two different cars! The Camaro was IMO a performance first, luxury second kind of car with less space where as the Challenger was luxury first and performance second with a lot more space kind of car. If I was out looking today for a car and had the knowledge of today...I'd buy the Challenger just based on room alone. Near performance numbers with the Camaro winning since it is faster but for an all around ride, feel, sound, muscle car looks, materials...I'd give the nod to the SRT8. Nothing wrong with either one though...but like I said, sounds like you have the best of both worlds already...not sure why you'd want two of the exact same cars unless you just want a green Camaro? |

Thanks for the advice.
Here, we have My car and His car. Mine is a daily driver, to and from work, etc. His is a weekend car, he uses a truck as his daily driver. I would never dream of using his car on a daily basis. That's his baby. That's why we'd potentially have two of the same car. It's kinda funny, when we met and started dating, we both owned the same trunk. The only difference, was mine was an extended cab and his was regular. I'm going by a dealership this weekend to see about a trade. We'll see how it goes. |
