My driver's side broke off. I noticed it when I was washing my car this weekend. I guess I'll have to make a trip to the dealer and get it replaced.

Both of my covers popped off. One was laying on top of the cowl when I opened the hood. The other blew off into the unknown....

Q: Why would this happen with a static cover? A: Crappy design, crappy material.

its like $6... i just replaced one on my duramax. but that was 3 years in, not brand new.

Mine popped off on the drivers side. I went to the dealer. They asked how did that happen? I answred I don't know. I got a new one under warantee and put it on myself.

mine vanish all the time. dealer puts new ones on every oil change for free. i took a small dab of monkey dung last time i put em on and they havent come out again. they blow out in the brushless carwashes and driving at speeds over 100mph.

Yup. A couple months ago I noticed one of the covers was loose - it was missing a tab. The dealer replaced it under warranty and it has been fine ever since.

I once knew a guy (ye, a friend, ye, that's who) that took his wipers completely off and used Rain-X on the windshield (local driving).

Not a bad idea if you live where it doesn't rain much.
