I was real interested in this list but after reading it I’d still take a zl1 over all of them. Heck I’d even take my 2ss 1le over all of them. Don’t get me wrong, I still wouldn’t pay over msrp for any car. I almost wonder if the dealers that list over msrp keep the allocations for dealer stock orders instead of letting a customer use the allocation for an order.

I was very fortunate and found a dealer 20 minutes away that sold to me at slightly under msrp and gave me their last 2ss allocation.

I was lucky, I got mine 16k under during Covid, the only thing I really wish it had was the PDR and no sunroof because what the hell do you need a sunroof for?

Was leaving an appt with my wife this morning and there was a wild cherry LT1 in the parking lot. I said, "oh, an LT1", and before I could say anything more she said "I LOVE THAT COLOR"! As soon as I got home I found this:

Anyone wanna buy a pristine 2016 2SS in HBM??! 9,xxx miles and never been driven in rain, stored winters. Zero mods.

It's overpriced but they'll probably get it. I looked up the sticker using the link that works for anything 2020+, and it was originally $74,7xx. It might be nice, but more than MSRP nice for a used car??

The dealer that I bought mine from had a $4200 dealer package add-on for about $800 worth of extras, hilarious. I was able to convince them to remove it, however, I did wind up paying the extra "Market Adjustment"

Keep your 2SS... You'll be happier... . It's a nicer color (Probably paid for) and unless you are tracking your car, do you really need a ZL1?

It's not a question of need, it's a question of WANT!! I LOVE my HBM and it gets driven so little that it's just dumb to buy something that'll cost me twice as much, but dammit it's a ZL1! I LOVE the front ends, the hood, and the way the tires fill out the wheel wells! Oh, and then there's the 650HP!

So make yourself a compromise and buy a used 2018 ZL1. Still have the color and the rest of the stuff you listed and cheaper. You can get a used 2018 ZL1 in the upper $50k range. Still saves you $15k...

Edit: Never mind... just searched AutoTrader and you can't get a used '18 HBM ZL1 in the upper $50k range, they are all over $60k... I think with the UAW Strike and things like what the dealer is doing in my original post. Used car values are going to jump in value yet again.

Just two HBM verts nationwide. $63k and 56k. The 56k has lots of miles. I do love my HBM, but wife LOVED that WC and I do too. Anything else would be a hard sell to her!

Exactly. They had buyers leaving with the mark up so they created this "package". Most of the items included did nothing for me. I placed the order and kept looking. Luckily I found a different car and saved some money. It is not here yet but close.
