Copper free brake performance
I’m just curious for those that have the copper free brakes have you noticed any loss in brake performance. And by that I mean I don’t seem to have the bite the usual Brembos have. For reference my last 2 cars were both Hellcats with the 6 piston Brembo’s and the initial bite was really good. I have not bed the brakes in on the ZL1 yet, 1000 miles so far, so I’m thinking maybe I need to. Don’t get me wrong the brakes seem very good under hard braking it’s just they seem to lack that hard initial bite if I’m explaining that right. They still dust like crazy though! Thanks.

Since it's been discussion quite a bit here on the forums, go to google and search "copper free brakes bcd camaro6.com". The search function here on the forums seems to be funky sometimes, google is the best bet.
Your thoughts mirror mine too. You'll find my feedback in the other BCD threads.

I'd assume performance would be nearly the same. I believe the calipers and everything is slightly larger on the copper free brake cars to make up for the slightly worse performing copper free brake pads?

Get normal Ferodo pads in the larger (BCD) size and you'll have the best stock(ish) braking system available for the 6th gen.

I have the copper free brakes and I think the stopping power of this car is amazing. I don't track it, but just hard on backroads they seem great to me.

Randy Pobst and he did not like the Copper Free system it made the braking performance worse and made E-Diff skidish on the C8Z
