Has anyone else noticed...
...a long delay in the blue tooth hooking up to your phone? Just in the past couple of months, it has started taking upwards to 5 minutes for my phone to connect. It seems like someone mentioned here a while back, that GM would no longer be supporting/updating the BIOS in the computers and I was wondering if it had anything to do with that.

Yes, sometimes it takes forever, but no, Bluetooth is not the 5G issue, the GM Link or whatever they call it will be affected. Also Satelite radio will not be affected

Funny you mention it but I did notice that it wasn't connecting right away the last couple of time I drove it. Might be a coincidence or maybe there is something weird afoot?

Interesting...I hope it's not going to be an ongoing issue or get worse.

iIt's OnStar that has ended features that need to communicate with your vehicle if your vehicle is old enough ti use 2g communications. Even if those features are no longer functional, OnStar has a Guardian app that you can use from your phone.
My 2013 Camaro falls into the category of 2g usage, but my 2015 is new enough it does not rely on 2G. If you had a OnStar subscription and your car used 2g, you would have already ben notified by OnStar. This issue should have nothing to do with Bluetooth as far as I know. |

I would try "forgetting" your phone in the car's bluetooth menu, restarting the phone, and then pairing the phone.

Mine usually takes 20-30 seconds to pair. Definitely longer than my 2011 Silverado which is less than 10 seconds.

interesting... in my 2011, it takes about as long as the car does to start before my phone/bluetooth is connected. I'm usually listening to my music on spotify while the car is warming up a bit. Occasionally it does drop the pairing and I have to turn off bluetooth on my phone and reconnect, but I blame my phone for that, not the Camaro.

Sounds like this may be an isolated issue for the most part. It sure is frustrating for me though. I like to listen to a variety of streams through my phone while sitting in my car at lunch or driving to and from work but lately I've just been leaving it off. Maybe the last update on my phone is the culprit. Who knows.

No paid radio for me. I decided today, to just blue tooth my phone to my hearing aids and listen to my you tube channels during my short drives.
