For those reordering a 2023, will you be making any changes to your order?

Just a thought that has been swirling around in my brain, but since I anticipate having to place an order for a 2023 model (since I don't see my original order being accepted within the next few days), I'm thinking about changing my color choice.

My original choice when spec'ing out the car was Vivid Orange, but my wife was more fond of Riverside Blue, so I went with that instead. And while I quite like Riverside Blue, I've had a number of darker blue cars already, so I'd like to change it up and I'm really considering going back to my original choice. And Rapid Blue, which I initially didn't care for, is also growing on me quite a bit, especially when contrasted with the black accents on the 1LE package, so I'm also thinking about switching over to that.

Is anyone else in the same boat? If your 2022 order never got accepted, and you're going to try reordering a 2023, are you going to stick with all the same options/equipment on the new order, or will you be changing anything up, whether it be trim, color, options, accessories, etc.?

Way back when I tried to order a V6 in red with black stripes and 20" black wheels. 6 speed. The V6 constraint killed my order and I got nowhere. If I decide to reorder, Id probably go with either red again or Riverside blue with the same stripes & wheels. I like Satin steel but thats no longer available. And, I dont trust the V6 being available so the 2.0 turbo will work for me.

Still pondering a re-order. So, mostly the same for me - just a possible color change.

While I've been trying to find a car in stock or in transit and seeing the options that were on those cars I've been debating changing to an A10 and/or adding a sunroof. But in the end I decide to stick to my original specs. The only things I'm changing are deleting the strut tower brace, fuel door cover, black suede knee pads (and a car cover). Those are all things I can get cheaper aftermarket and install myself.

well since my order got delayed again now set for 5/2 to begin who knows if they will make anymore 22's? If they have some different color options that could sway me perhaps. Still going with the 1LE package though. I almost went with the rapid blue but wasnt sure if i could live with that. I went with White with the 1LE looks sharp. If they had the older Blue like i have on my 17 i would have stayed with that . Hyper metallic blue or something like that. The riverside blue is to dark for my taste.

I'm so disheartened by not getting my order accepted that I may just move on to something else.

I hear ya - I sort of did that after several months of nothing and then all of a sudden there were like No 3.6 engines available anywhere in the known universe. So, being new to car ordering, I had no idea to constantly "harp" on my dealer for info and they could have done a better job communicating with me. But still - ultimately, I had to move on as Ive been still visiting this site and see much of the same loooooooooooong waits and random constraints.

That being said, Ive recently at least kept open the option of finding a Camaro in stock somewhere should my other potential choices/deals fall through. Ordering again though just seems like a suckers game or whatever. Its like place order and then wait for... who the hell knows how long? :(

As long as Rapid Blue remains a color I told my salesperson to reinput with no changes for 23.

I put in an order last week. I previously had a '21 1SS 1LE in Riverside Blue. I bought it off a lot so it was what it was. I decided if I was going to order something, I should get what I want. Well, within reason - I wanted a Corvette but my wife put the kabash on that. So I ordered a 2SS 1LE with the PDR.

Dealer called me on Friday saying if I could settled for a 2SS with PDR, no 1LE, they could squeeze in a '22 order for me. I really want that 1LE though, I loved it in my previous Camaro, so it looks like I'll be getting a '23.

Good call, the 1LE will be worth the wait, plus you'll get the model year bump making the car feel more "fresh"

I've been in the same boat. I actually put my name on the waiting list at 3 Toyota dealerships for a 2022 GR86 (luckily, only had to put a deposit down at one of them). I know I'd really enjoy the GR86, but it's really similar to a lot of cars I've already had, so I'd really prefer to get the Camaro as it would be a totally new experience. My thought was that I'd buy whichever car either manufacturer could get to me first.

Luckily, today I got a call from one of the Chevy dealerships I had contacted a month or so back (not the one I have my order in at) stating that they're expecting to get a couple of Camaro allocations within the next week or so. He's not sure if he'll be able to get a 2SS 1LE, but he wanted to see if I was still interested. The salesman will be getting back to me later this week or the beginning of next week to let me know if they can fulfill my order, and if so I'll be able to head over there and place an order, I'm assuming for a 2023. Fingers crossed that this works out!

Only question is, if I can place the order, and it's for a 2023, will the order still get accepted by GM this early? I don't see why not; it just wouldn't be built until the factory switches over to the 2023 models.

I think Gearhead said that they won't start accepting orders for '23's until 4/28. But there's still 3 more days to get an order for a '22 accepted.

I decided NOT to order a 2023 and found a 2022 2SS that had everything I wanted on the 3LT and then some. Looking forward to bringing him home tomorrow!

Well, I was officially told my 2022 is not happening. Not sure I can go through the waiting again.

Why not just order from a dealer nationwide that has tons of allocations? Just wondering. Or from Joe on this site?
