Do 20-22 owners still have the windshield fogging problems?

Hi friends,

I rent a 2018 Camaro and found the windshield gets fogged up constantly. I found that this is a common complaint for 6 gen owners before 2019 model.
Just wondering did GM finally fix this on the new models? Can anyone with newer models please answer?

Thanks a lot

I've not experienced this issue. My '97 had this issue though.

Thanks guys! From your answers I think we can assume the issue has been fixed in the newer models. That's great to know.

I dont know, I think we need 6 more pages about this and a revival of the thread every 3 or so months.

This was always a leaky gasket problem. Some cars just leaked more than others. While it is likely workers were instructed to pay closer attention to attaching this gasket, I would doubt there was any redesign.

Are the windows really fogging on that 2018 rental? Like on the interior? Because that's a different problem then. The original problem is cold air leaks through the defrost vent, cools the windshield, and condensate forms on the outside (usually on a hot and humid day). Hit the wipers and it goes away.

Interior fogging in cold weather is more likely to mean A/C is not working properly to remove interior moisture.

I definitely DO have it on my 2020. It happens on the outside of the window but comes back as soon as my wipers remove it. Happens mainly in the summer.

The car I rent seems to have both problems. It has small fog area just above the defrost vent in a hot day when I have my AC on. It also fogged up like crazy on front and side window during a rainy day when the outside is colder ( I did use the defrost feature but didn't work quite well).

Does the 2018 rental have auto climate, and is it on?
If not, your cold weather issue may be solved by running the A/C when you heat the car.
I have auto climate and always use it. Guaranteed it cycles the A/C even when I'm in a heat mode.
