Almost makes one look at the electric F-150, that would only be to replace my Silverado. Not getting rid of the Z28.

I’ve got some great dealer stories
I've got easy access to Snap On's highest end scan tool and limited access to some GM stuff without going through the dealership. Lucky for me there's an Audi dealership repair shop next to my fire station and they are a great group of guys that love my car and are always helpful with lifts, tools, etc. I just usually borrow the tool and do it myself since they don't really know GM stuff

Not sure I’d they still exist but I do recall reading that some members were replacing their brake pads with something called a sintered brake pad that would transfer material to the rotor and extend the rotor life. Maybe a member using those can chime in...might be a better choice than the OEM ones.

RB Performance Brakes has the sintered pads. Looks like R1 concepts sells brake sensors. Not sure how they match OE though

This is EXACTLY what I'd do. This appears to be a convenience function that may cause more headaches than its worth. I've been checking brakes visually for years and I'll continue to do so with the Z.

Curious os GM still making these rotors and pads? I know they are expensive.

If someone is tracking their car what iron rotor set up is an easy conversion? ZL1 rotors? Do those fit our brake system?

Girodisc is who makes bolt on iron discs for us. Pads and rotors they offer. Which you would need both to make it work.
