I can't disagree there!! However, I wanted a clean look without gauges in the A-pillar. I put the A/F Gauge in the driver's side air vent for visibility. On long straights at COTA it was easy enough to check A/F and glance down at Fuel Psi to make sure it wasn't leaning out on long WOT runs. Tuning it myself with HP Tuners so I know it's safe and not running the ragged edge.

Now back on topic......

I like it. I also thought about this variant with Bowler shifter.

But my girlfriend wanted a T-handle.
She doesn't like the ball.
So I bought a chrome Hurst, drilled a hole to make it straight, made and chrome a support, and redesigned the old school style.

Here is a picture of my Hurst Billet Short Throw Shifter. I like the nostalgia look.

No not yet, but I want too.
Hurst does make a "nice" unit, but $300.
Well I guess it will be well worth having something nice. The stock shifter
has to go.

For a while there Hurst didn't make the pistol grip for the 2010-2015, only for the 2016 and up. I called them and emailed them several times and I think some others on here as well did so too, and after a couple of years, they showed up for our 5th gens, so I jumped on it because they just looked so cool!!! Thanks Hurst... Well done..

I tried to order a shift knob from him a while back, he said if he had time he would do it, but I guess he never had time to do it. Sounds like he has a business and does this on the side.

He paid so much attention to detail, sent me pictures of every step, including milling pics, and even sourced the knob. He also milled the bottom of the carbon fiber knob so it was flat to the shaft coupling and made sure clock the knob with the threaded insert so the weave of the fiber would be perfectly straight front to back when tightened.

Just amazing work. I think it cost me like $120. Then I sourced my own boot from a manual SS on Ebay for like $30.
