Offset help please
Have a stock 2012 Camaro SS with factory 8" & 9" wheels with 35mm offset on fronts and 40mm offset on rears.
If I 'upgrade' to 1 inch wider wheels, 9" front and 10" rear with the same 35mm and 40mm offsets as factory, will the 1 inch additional width be spilt half under the car and half out toward the fender lip - or will the entire 1" additional width be all out toward the fender lip? I've confused myself trying to figure this out and need some help - THANKS! |

On the front of my 2014 Camaro I am running ZL1 replica wheels that are 20"X10" wide with 35 MM offset. They are wrapped with 275/35/20 Continental Extreme Contact tires. ZERO issues.

If the wheels are 1 inch wider and the offset is the same, then yes, there will be 1/2" less inner clearance and 1/2" more protrusion.
