Ok, that makes more sense. Yeah these cars are a totally different animal than the 4th gens.

The 4th gens used a SLA (short long arm) front suspension. I think this was slightly better than the floating top mount strut system on the 5th gen. Yeah, it's a dual "virtual" pivot design, but I think the 4th gen still had a better design for the front IMHO.

Quick update...the mpg is a little better than I thought 15/20 city/hwy where everyone said I should be at with it modified. I guess the computer wasn’t reset all the way. I filled up with the 2nd tank today 91 (no ethanol @2.79) and will see how she does.

Update on the CEL..throwing 10 codes. The dealer didn’t tell me that part until I arrived for the test drive when I also found out the remote start didn’t work. I’m 98% sure they’re all 02 related. The one that concerned me was it running lean.

The good news is that the dealer RELUCTANTLY agreed to pay for a street tune at a highly recommended local shop to resolve the issue. I told them it was the right thing to do.

Well considering it's illegal to sell a car without cats the dealer better take care of you lol.

10mpg because of a tune?

I got the tune done today. The front 02 was bad as well.

Sounds like it's getting dialed in.
