No, that's the only drawback. They remove the heating element when they build the wheel from the factory core. I think Vivid Racing has a similar configuration where you can retain the heated steering wheel option for a little extra cash, but I was more comfortable with Wildhammer after my research and phone calls to both vendors.

Yep, Matt and Tina at Wildhammer were great. Fantastic customer service and offered some helpful advice for the install.

Looks very nice, but soooo damn expensive...and to lose my heated steering wheel for $850? I don't think I could go through. I want to get rid of this alcantara, it's starting to wear but I need to find something a bit cheaper and hopefully keep heated steering.

I too purchased my wheel from this vendor. Then I went to try to find one for my CTS-V, and the guys on the CTS-v forum put me in touch with one of the manufacturers for these custom Steering wheels. his name is Frank

https://instagram.com/vlmautopart?igshid=j8jdl91bm4ti

For $450 shipped, these wheels are exact same quality. There was a post a while back I’m this forum from one of the other members who got into it with the vendor you mentioned because he was giving members info directly to that vendor’s source essentially cutting out the middle man. A middle man charging $850 for a wheel that costs $450

In any case, I have two carbon fiber wheels, one for both vehicles, same quality, but one cost me half the price

The heated Steering wheel is great for cold track days when your windows are down.

Is there a company that makes a normal shaped carbon steering wheel? I don't like the uneven thickness and all the weird shapes .

I'm reaching out to VLM for a price. Did you go with CF/Alcantara? Also, did he retain the heated wheel?

This is something i NEVER thought I’d use...but damn is it nice at the track or just on a 50 degree drive with the windows cracked on my commute. I love fresh air, and as it turns out...warm hands.

Only problem I’ve had is this tab has been open on my iPad for a week because the OP’s wheel looks sooooo good.

Decisions decisions...

I plan to switch it myself too.
Do you have a specific procedure to make sure you have or keep an angle at zero with the wheels straight aligned and the steering wheel mark at 12’O clock?
Or you just try to do your best not to have an induced angle....
