Are all heated mirrors auto-dimming? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I've been looking through parts books and auto-dimming isn't mentioned, but there are heated and non heated versions. All you guys with heated external mirrors, are they all auto dimming as well? Looking cars up by VIN, I've even found that GM's own software misidentifies them about half the time as well.

My passenger side doesn't auto dim and it's annoying

I dont think mine does either. Only the drivers side. They are both heated though.

I believe it was a package deal where the heated and auto dimming come as one package.

Thanks everyone- that confirms my suspicion that there is no heated NON dimming... but the heated passenger side doesn't dim. Makes me wonder if a mirror from one made for the right hand drive market would dim... then have both.

Wifey cleaned the mirror off my 2015, so time to order up a replacement. If anyone has a pair of heated black mirrors or a Right one in Summit white...

All my mirrors use to. Now the passenger side one does not as well. There seems to be a trend here. One time I had the mirrors all stop as well as the onstar wasnt lit. I pulled a fuse in the trunk to reset it and it all worked again. I'll have to find that fuse and try it
