I had to give up my sunroof, as the new one does not have one, but I love it anyway. So, being new to the Gen 6, I was looking at the threads and reading up. I noticed that some owners with the 17s that have the dip in the roof, listed theirs as a 2SS 1LE. I read up on the 1LE and saw they have a matte painted hood, but the ones I saw on the forum did not. Can anyone enlighten me on this?
They all have roof dips.

Congratulations on your purchase, I'm sure you'll enjoy your 6th gen to the fullest

As others have stated, there are two roof styles, the "reverse mohawk" with the dip is installed on non-sunroof cars, while those with a sunroof necessarily receive the "flat" roof panel.

The matte hood is just a factory applied vinyl wrap over the standard paint. Some love it as it clearly shouts 1LE, while others remove it, presumably to make the look uniform.

Traded my 15 SS for a 17 SS. Welcome to the club!
You're going to love that LT1 and the handling.

Nope, not yet. Today is the first sunny day in almost a week. I'll get some! All I have is the pics from the dealership ad.

My dad owns a 2010 Indy pace car Camaro and a 2013 Hot Wheels Camaro SS. After one ride in my 1LE last year he went out and bought a 2018 SS Hot Wheels vert. Now he is selling his 2010 Indy pace Camaro (for sale on Camaro5 forum) and is going to replace it with another 6th gen. He enjoys driving his 2018 that much more. The 6th gen is an amazing car.

It really is a pleasure (and fun, of course) to drive. I'm loving it, and there is a huge difference in the 5th and 6th Gen. I didn't think there would be, but I was surprise how it feels like a completely different car to me.

Good for your Dad!
