Now a Gen 6 owner! Previous X2 Gen 5 owner.

Yesterday, I traded in my 2012 2SS/RS with 129K miles on it for a 2017 2SS Mosaic Black M6! I'm super excited! I can really tell the difference from my 2012. I had to give up my sunroof, as the new one does not have one, but I love it anyway. So, being new to the Gen 6, I was looking at the threads and reading up. I noticed that some owners with the 17s that have the dip in the roof, listed theirs as a 2SS 1LE. I read up on the 1LE and saw they have a matte painted hood, but the ones I saw on the forum did not. Can anyone enlighten me on this?

Some people unwrap their hood if they don't like the black matte wrap but they all have the different spoiler on them.

So are the 1LE's the only ones that come with a dual exhaust? And which spoiler is the "different" spoiler?

all of them have dual exhaust, but those that have dual tips have the NPP exhaust. The different spoiler is more of a small duck bill spoiler, no holes drilled in trunk

Ok! Thanks for that info. What is the difference between the roofs that are smooth vs dipped?

Is the NPP exhaust standard on the Gen 6 2SS?

Every 6th gen without a sunroof has the "dipped" roof. Makes no difference if it is a 1LE or not.

No it is not. It is optional on the SS and V6 trims.

In case you don't know, the 1LE is the track oriented variant of each model. They offer 1LE package for the base model on up through the top of the line ZL1 model. They typically have upgraded brakes, wheels, suspension, as well as matte black hood and mirrors.

Congratulations on your purchase of a 2017 6gen SS! Yes there are differences between the 5th gen vs. 6gen Camaros and the more you drive your 2017 the more you will love it!

i have a 16 1ss only option was 6 speed manual and npp exhaust and no sunroof which gives you the roof with the dip in it

if you get a sunroof no cool dip in roof plus more shit to break or go wrong

Haven’t had time to take pics yet. It’s been raining for two days. Mine is Mosaic Black, not blue. The profile pic is of my 2012 2SS/RS, it was black.

I guess that’s true! I loved and used my sunroof all the time, never had an issue.
