Practical advice > buy winter tires (studded if legal în your area) and you will have loads of fun. The car is tail happy but still controllable, you will enjoy the winter driving. Last winter mine was parked only for a day. Good winter tires = quick stops on snow/ice, this is what matters in the end.

Word. I've almost forgotten how it would feel to be outside and not be uncomfortable. Yes the date is September 10th, but really they may as well call it August 41st because it's mid-summer muggy even still, with no relief in site. I got my car the end of April, and I had all of maybe 15 days since then where it was comfortable enough to properly enjoy it. Not looking forward to driving in snow, just to where I don't have to put a towel over my seatback so I don't sweat all over it. |

It's the time of year we are entertained by news clips of cars in the south pirouetting down that errant ice covered highway bouncing off guard rails or parked cars.

Snapped while driving an actual 16 SS to work one cold morning.
I know, it sucks. I escaped to Atlanta for three years but work brought me back.

I'll take 100 degree days everyday. You all can keep your north face jackets, uggs, and pumpkin spice everything.

Not me, I like doing stuff outside and it's always possible to heat up or get warmer with clothes, while when it's 100 (and especially with humidity) it's just miserable and you get soaked through with sweat just walking to/from your car. I also find that lots of places in the South over-compensate with the A/C inside, turning it way down because it's so hot outside. If you truly love the "hot temps", then you need to live with NO air conditioning

Paid my dues living in Massachusetts most of my life and 2 years in MN. I went as far and south west as I could, away from the cold and snow. Been here 9 years now and will retire here. Up north I had 4WD's and FWD Civic SI's, nothing RWD. Down here I had Miatas, the Camaro and my Mustang GT- which were never even on the radar up north. I can drive them year round- no salt or problems getting to work. I'm cold when it's 70 now and drive with the windows down when it's 85-95, no AC and just loving every second of it!
