See gear in Automatic?

Sorry if this has already been answered. Is there a way to see what gear you're in without switching to manual mode in the A10 ZL1?

Wondering this myself but don’t think it’s possible unfortunately. My Raptor does this and is very useful.

No. Have to hit the paddles or the shifter before it will tell you.

That's literally why I asked... Also enjoy that in my Raptor!

Wonder if it is possible to add this with a tune? I know that the APR tune on the VW's changes the D to D1, D2, etc.

Only way to see the gear in D is the replay of your PDR on your computer...
:-)

Same there is no way to display Volts on this car...
Unless you’ve got an obd plugged and app on your smartphone...

how is it useful? I kinda wondered about this at first, but then just realized the transmission always picks the right gear, so why do I need to know which one it is?

Weird. Manual has it, auto doesn’t.

Right, I saw it in the PDR and was surprised I couldn't enable it anywhere visible while driving. Certainly not necessary, but I enjoy knowing what gear my Raptor is in with the same 10 speed. Oh well.

Not really that "useful", just cool to see in my opinion. I had an auto Hellcat and the display could be configured to show current gear at all times whether in manual or auto mode. The ZL1 actually falls a little short in this area (instrument cluster configurability) to me even though I love it otherwise.

After a while of manually commanding all or at least most of the shifting?

Norm
