Anyone pulled the rivets out of the splitter yet?

Tried searches in multiple verticals and everything was about install, but not taking a splitter off that one had fubar-ed. Never worked with rivets before, but will take the drill out and see how that goes.

With a good new bit, and the right size, they drill right out. I replaced the rivets with push poppers, they hold tight and you never have that problem again. Spotter coming off next week to be repainted with Dr. color chip ....little bit of buckshot…

Yeah, saw where you did that. Even put your Amazon linked bag of poppers in my cart. I may go that way to avoid this in the future. I'm sure I'll end up with damage one way or another over the life of this car.

Sorry to revive an old thread but what push poppers did you use, do you have a link? Currently on my second splitter after it has been wrecked for the third time and i am tired of rivets...

Never used the rivets, but I blew mine apart hitting a retread at 80mph. The riveted area held secure with only the tape. Never replaced it either. $400 for 4 months was a lesson learned.
