‘16 1SS or fully loaded ‘14 2SS 1LE?

I am considering a purchase of a ‘16 1SS M6, npp, silver split spokes and no
Sunroof. I’m also considering a ‘14 2SS 1LE fully loaded with npp, sunroof, Nav Recaros, and hud. The ‘16 only has 3300 miles and the 1LE has 19000. Both are at the same price point. I need help deciding. I really prefer having a sunroof but that 6th gen is so tempting and is virtually brand new.

I know a lot who have flipped from the fifth to the sixth and all have said it’s a night and day difference between the two cars. I’d say if you’re tracking then the 1LE may be more to your liking, but if it’s the sunroof ultimately that has you torn then go with your heart. I don’t think anyone can make up your mind and I say drive them both and let that be the decision maker. I love sunroofs myself and bought a 2010 without and had one put in that looked factory and never an issue. I’ve since ensured my buys had them, but the SixGen is a beast of a car, and over the 2011 2SS that was cammed, and all the extras I did to it like MyLink w/cam, lighting, wheels etc... I’d trade it all over again for the SixGen that I have now.
Choose wisely and stay thirsty!

I would probably have to say the 6th gen, that 14 is already 4 years old and the 6th gen is just worlds better.

Drive both and see which one fills your needs and wants. If you plan to track the car often, the 1LE might fit the bill. If you're daily driving with little to no track time, the 16 SS might fit better. The test drive will tell you what you want.

What Sev said. I don’t track but love the better suspension that the 1LE has. I have the ZL1/1LE FE4 sways sitting in the garage since the week before Christmas and the lowering kit since that past two weeks, both kits GM Performance parts so I retain warranty and waiting on weather to break for install. Best of both worlds as I like a great handling whip on these mean streets we drive on.

Test drive them out and see which one really pulls at your heart. There is always the possibility of finding a 6th gen 1LE that will fit the bill.

5th gen 1LE was the benchmark for the 6th gen SS. Personally I wouldn't hesitate for a second to go with the 1SS and plan on my first mod being wider wheels and tires. I'd give the nod to the 1SS over the 1LE anyway but with better traction on the 1SS it will be no contest! At least in regards to the car. Obviously any car can be faster if there is a difference in driver talent.

I'm no expert but I would think the 16 SS in it's stock form is going to be a better track car right out of the box due to the chassis alone.

Even 2SS 5th gen to 1SS 6th gen the tech in the 6th gen is still superior and you still have navigation through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Holy crap, Mike. Don't ask this question on camaro5 outside of the club thread. You will be flamed right off the forum, lol.

I do agree with the Alpha comments

If they want the same price for the '14 1LE as that '16, then the 1LE is overpriced for one. With 19K miles and 2 MYs older, it should be a good chunk cheaper. Then add on top of that the tech and performance of the 6th gen 1SS, should be a no brainer.

I myself flipped from a 5th to 6th gen and it is a big difference. I would go 6th gen because of all the other upgrade that come with. If tracking it is important than you can throw on some coilovers/brakes and it will blow the 5th gen out of the water.

The 16 is just a better car all the way 'round.
