Dropped with Megan Racing Coilovers and 285/315 Combo Love it!

Its been raining here the last few days in Texas, so the car is filthy. Super happy with Megan Racing's Coil overs. So my thoughts on them are very simple. For the money, they are probably the best bang for the buck, the 1SS Camaro (which I have) with no Magnetic ride feels sloppy. I think that's just because its a Convertible, and without the hard top makes it just feel squirmish. I was able to take a tour of Megan Racing in California, the guys there were SUPER friendly, nice and took me around to the other building, which they actually have two drift Camaro's in there.

Pretty much they told me the obvious, that if you have magnetic ride then these would be a down grade, because there is no way for $650-$700 you are going to get a better suspension setup. Just not going to happen.

I was really worried about going with the Eibach because a guy posted on youtube that his wheel was out more on one side then the other and that it was some big hoopla deal. Plus the Eibachs were like $300, so for double that I could actually get a setup I could adjust. I've notice the front of the Camaro is just way to high, and the drop on the springs are pretty much set, with the coil overs I'm able to adjust exactly how I want it.

I do have ZL1 Replica wheels from MRR, with these 315-35-20 tires, they are tucked under quite nicely with -2 degrees of camber. The book says you can go all the way to -1.5, but I wanted to really get a good low look. These do rub a little when I hit some major bumps but for the most part no rubbing issues. I obviously did the harness relocate, otherwise this little adventure would be short lived.

I was thinking of going 305's as I think it would take the rubbing away, so that is an option, but actually I'm going to probably raise it a half inch or 3/4 inch and see how that works, I really like having the extra traction in back. Didn't resize the pictures so sorry for the large size. Let me know your thoughts good or bad.

Looks good. I agree with the 'Bang for the Buck'.
For a good ride and with adjustable height it is a good choice.

That back end needs to raise up 1/2". It does look too low.
Front is set nice.

Man that’s an awesome deal too.. do yours look like these? Brand new in the box 545.00 shipped... I bought a ZL1 and didn’t even get to install.... Didn’t mean to thread jack, but they are awesome....

Agree on that. 100% it is a little too low at the back.

Either lower the front or raise the back a bit. I'm curious to what rotors you are running? Feedback on them?

Looks real good. Didn't know Megan racing had coilovers out for our Camaro's.

Thanks everyone, will raise the back for sure, I think at that point I wont have to worry about the minor rubbing I get when I hit bumps. WOW $545 shipped on those coil overs someone should jump on them, wayyyyy too good of a price. 1300 Miles on the setup, and no issues, either its the side stripe or the lowering of the car, but people just seem to want to race now. Keeps the drive interesting to say the least.

I have them too. They ride amazing for a daily surprisingly. My only complain is my left rear shocks threading to the top bolt is completely done.. so I can't even thread the bolt properly. Getting in contact with them has been harsh and to get just ONE shock replaced, it's a couple of months wait...

Hey OP, I see you got 315's tucked in the back. What's your camber specs??? I have a 305 in the rear and if I drop it anymore, it'll sit right on my fender. Or does the wheel automatically tuck in for you when you lowered it more?
