Corvette Exterior Design Manager Kirk Bennion says the team had five goals when they began work on the 2014 Corvette Stingray. Fewer than one in three Chevrolet dealerships will be eligible to sell the 2014 Corvette Stingray when it begins rolling off the assembly line in late summer.
Last week, General Motors notified about 900 of its roughly 3,000-plus Chevy dealerships that they have met the requirements to sell the redesigned Corvette, a GM spokesman says. Those dealerships can begin ordering 2014 Corvettes in the next few weeks.

Like the C7 Corvette Coupe, the first Corvette Stingray Convertible to be produced will also be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson, on April 5, 2013.
The auction proceeds will once again benefit a charity – the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Someone at the Coughlin Corvette dealer spotted a passing C7 Corvette caravan, among which was a Crystal Red Tintcoat C7 Corvette Stingray. This photo gives us our first look yet at this color.
Has the approximate price for the C7 Corvette Stingray Coupe been revealed GM’s Win-A-Corvette-Sweepstakes?
The contest, which is officially run by GM, lists an approximate retail value of $82,610 (listed in the contest’s official rules PDF) for the winning package. But, the rules specifically lists an Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of $71,860 for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
There’s no indication whether the winner’s C7 will include the Z51 performance package nor what other options/packages it will be equipped with, but this figure at least gives us a ballpark estimate of the C7 Corvette Stingray coupe’s price range.
