The Price of Eggs

I am sure each of you remember 2 or 3 years ago when gas prices jumped to over $4 a gallon and the media was predicting $5 prices.
I am sure you all also remember when grocery stores, merchants and even motor oil companies said WE MUST RAISE our prices do to higher costs to transport goods to offset gas prices. Well low and behold it appears gas prices really did not stay t that high rate as predicted now did it?....but you will also notice that as gas prices soon dropped to more reasonable levels our grocery costs DID NOT! Grocery prices went up with gas but stayed up when gas came down! Can you say Ripoff!? We are being ripped off by merchants who used the excuse to raise prices because of fuel costs yet fuel costs are now down. Even Motor oil went up by the qt. And the last time I checked the Motor oil by the quart is still up. Why? What is the reason for this? Shouldn't consumer pricing also come down with gas prices since that was the excuse given for the rise in price.

The economics of this country can't be explained in one paragraph on this forum.
Run for President if you want to change things or move to Europe they pay like
10 bucks for a gallon of gas in some places
