I get the humor, but he was after deleting his own forum account via self-service instead of just never coming back, and that is not possible (not allowed here, actually), so there's that.

Next best thing would be to make the appropriate posts to get your own account suspended, or if you are lucky, banned completely. That way, you can't succumb to temptation and post again....That'll show 'em!..lol

The site seems to be going down on a regular basis lately. Not sure what is going on and no response from any of the mods regarding the issue. I think whoever runs the site now is trying to optimize the ads to make some money off the site. Lots of people keep complaining about pop-up ads from the site following the shut-downs. Just my .02 cents

I have no issue with site operators trying to monetize their sites as these things actually cost quite a bit to keep updated and hosted. I run an international site that requires ongoing maintenance and security updates that aren't free by any means.

Having said that, I draw the line at pop-ups. Banner and sidebar ads are one thing, but pop-ups will drive me from a site unless AdBlock Plus stops them.

Whatever the issues are, I hope they get it sorted out soon.
