Saw a video on TFL with the head of SRT. Basically said the way they are going to try and combat it, is you sign an agreement with your dealer, if the car s sold at MSRP it will be built first, if it's not at MSRP it goes to the end of the line....have to see how that works out for them

Rich people do Rich people things. Say it is MSRP then pay over when it arrives. Hell dealers are doing it now, look at some of the "I ordered" threads and see when the vehicle arrive they say "well"

Didn't FCA try something similar, before the Stellantis acquirement, but the Dodge dealers started selling what was essentially an "entry ticket" to have the chance to buy the vehicles at "MSRP"?

This meant that the cars were indeed sold at, or even below, MSRP but the customers were in effect still paying AMV markups, as a separate item that was not technically attached to the vehicle purchase.

Trust me when I say this: "They know they wont stop the mark ups...period"

Every dealer in my area is having bidding wars or 100K over MSRP....and the owners are keeping at least one.

If someone knows who is selling at MSRP give me a shout out!! LOL

It's still a Dodge. I'll pass.

100k "starting price" no thanks. Much better options available at that price point to choose from if I wanted to go drag racing.

New, streetable, emission compliant, and warrantied? Care to list 3 or 4 that would offer comparable specs and performance in that venue?

If you only drag race that thing... sure... but people usually drive the car. This is just a smoke show on the street. Scat Pack Widebody does not hook good, let alone over 2x power and torque.

A Drag car is boring to me.
Much rather a car that can handle really well like a Camaro/Mustang.
Mopars are overhyped & overpriced IMO.

100-150k would get anyone one hell of a top tier race car is what I was getting at. And there's numerous things that I like that dodge did with the car and things I see not so much. Again if I was going racing, much better options out there turnkey ready to go.

I owned two Chargers 392. Nice big interior, comfortable. But widebody drives like crap. It pulls left and right, sometimes terrifying. You are buying cool car, not a good car. Without their marketing these would be only big whale with nobody dying for them.

My Challenger Widebody was fantastic. No walking, hooked up as good as one could expect with the HP/TQ - zero complaints. I would still have it if I did not get the Wrangler. ANd actually worked out for me because ZL1, but it was a fantastic car.
