Would you buy a damaged '14 C7 before it was ever titled?

Short Story: Dealer was moving the car around the back for final wash before they delivered it to me (90 miles away) and BAM another car was being moved out of a service bay and they crashed. The C7 was damaged on the passenger side. Apparently the front fender and door took the hits. I've seen 1 texted pic and can see they are having to do fiberglass repair work.

Should I still buy?
Should i expect a $ discount?
I'm already getting it at supplier price.

Advice pulease.......

Ask yourself this, if you paid $3000 for a big screen TV at Best Buy and they damaged it during delivery but promised to fix it... would you take delivery?

If you answered NO, then why would you take delivery on a $60k+ sports car that's been damaged, but repaired?

Repaired isn't NEW. The car has already been devalued before you even took possession. It will show up on CarFax and other reporting services as "In Accident".

Unless, of course, the dealership repairs it and doesn't report it.

Either way, get a NEW one, NOT a repaired one.

My home dealership will give you Supplier Pricing and order you a new one. No hassles. If you want my buddy's contact info, PM me.

Now this is just "my" opinion...

You didn't say whether this was a Special order or one you purchased from dealer stock. Not that this is a major factor, but something to consider if this car was built specifically to your needs/wants. Waiting for a replacement might not be worth it if the fix is not that major.

It sounds like it was probably a slow-speed, fender-bender type of accident(?), so the damage sounds like it's "cosmetic", for the most part, and probably minimal or no internal damage. If that's the case, I would consider taking the car after repairs, but I would demand the dealer obtain NEW (no farmed out repair job) body panels painted at the factory, nothing less.

I would also work with Chevrolet Customer Service on this to see what they can do.

Just some thoughts...

monicatomokc...

If you've ever seen the way some service techs and detailers drive customers' cars, then this was no minor "fender bender".

Tell them you do not want this year old damaged car and order a 15 at supplier, it's worth the short wait.
