Recaro width

Hi all, I'm looking at buying a 1LE in the near future but am a little apprehensive about the Recaros. I've tried searching here and I've tried to find one in my area so I could at least sit in them before I buy, but no luck.

My concern Isn't that I'm too big it's that I'm too small, I'm 5'8 125 with a 28 inch waist and the seats in my current car ( 2010 turbo Cobalt) fit me perfect.

I was wondering if anybody has measured or knows the distance between the bolster (width of the alcantara piece) on these seats?

Any help is appreciated.

First, the Recaro's in the 1LE are quite roomy as compared to say Gt350 cloth Recaro's which would absolutely fit your frame better. My son is 5'9" 148 and yet he can sit in the 1LE Recaro's he does not fit well in them. I on the other hand 6' and 193 find it a comfortable fit with actually a bit of room to spare. I don't think you would benefit from the wider bolster/high wing back design as much as you may like how they look. As mentioned in the OP, they seem to accommodate in favor of average to average+ girth. For my 2 cents find a 1LE with the standard seats, NPP, sun roof if you like the feature (the modest reduction in headroom will not be your issue), and the 2SS option if that mattered to you too. Good luck.

The bolsters are 12" closest to the seat back, and flare out to 15". I'm 5'8', 175 lbs, 32" waist and they fit me just fine. I track the car, and with harnesses, I'm nice and snug.
