How many hours to do this work?

1. Swapping my 103mm for a 112mm with new couplings, etc., and
2. Swapping my 3.00" upper for a 2.75, along with new belt.

Dyno/tune not incl.

2/23 - 1031/1004 wheel.
4/23 - 1.41/9.61/145 at DA 7000 ft. (only made five passes).
2/24 - LME 390, E2650, FBO, 100 oct.; 1116hp/ 1063tq; 109 oct. dyno next.

I was only half kidding. I usually leave most of the heavy lifting to my local shop so that things come out right. Things like a pulley swap and 103-to-112 TB swap I did myself and they didn’t take long. Swapping the blower pulley is probably 20 minutes. The TB swap took me a bit longer since I had to order a different silicone coupler for the Rotofab Big Gulp and an adapter for my Whipple since the 112 is not smooth fit it lol. But that was another 20-30 minutes of actual work once I had the parts lined up.

For an experienced shop... my guess is 90 minutes but may bill for a 2 or 3 hour minimum...



DIY... maybe 1/2 day depending on your tool level and experience.

3 hours to install 112 throttle body, adapter plate, upper pulley, measure and new belt, and remove/repair driver's canard.

Seems accurate if you're just using an adaptor plate.

112mm snouts require the EVAP solenoid to be relocated on Camaros which takes a bit more work.

Yea, his rate is high, but 3 hours seems right.

What’s the hourly rate there? Our Deere dealers are charging up to $200 per hour now.

It seems high because we aren’t used to paying those rates, but that’s the new normal. It makes DIY look real good.

Mike, mine has a DSX low side, but I've been told that I'll need more when I take this car off the mountain and down to good air. It has the stock high side.

What has KaTech found for 1000 hp motors?
