Is it normal for 5th gens to always have their fan blower on?
I recently bought my first 5th Gen and have noticed something I think is quite odd. I can’t fully shutoff the blower for the air. There is always a light on whether it’s AC, Heat, defrost etc… Can I not completely shut off the system? Picture below of the light constantly being on. Granted it’s not always that light but at least one of the buttons has to be selected.
Rereading my question seems confusing so let me know if I’m not making sense. Also let me apologize in advance if I managed to post this in the wrong forum. Wasn’t sure where to put it. https://imgur.com/a/3SV5pRQ |

I get what you're saying. Is there any air actually moving unless you push on of the options on the right controller?

It don’t come easy.

It is normal for at least one of the lights to be on with the left controller. There will be a slight amount of air exiting the vent but, if the selector for the fan is all the way to the left, the fan is off.

The buttons select which route the air takes.
The dial selects the fan speed. Zero is a fan speed option. However, air will always be coming through the vents when the car is moving. |

THIS!!! Air will not flow thru the vents with the recirc set to inside air, while the fan speed is set to off.I’ve been doing it my whole driving life.
