Kooks Shorty Headers

Anybody have these? How they sound and how they perform? Buying them anyways, just asking…

Nice ride and good luck with the mod! Kooks is a reputable manufacture for certain. I take it you not want mess cats, o2 sensors or tune, but want hear them horses sing. You should get added sound experience. Shorty performance for buck is good to stir-up a debate. Most would shun them

My two cents for that price they should polished and/or be ceramic coated at least. Cuz your going to want to do that before installing

+1 on ceramic coating for sure

The OEM primary cats are restrictive on the inlet side. If you can get them off and open up the casting a bit with a die grinder that will help. I think member @oldman did that. And another member (@swisstyphoon of memory serves) fitted Gen2 GESI cats in place of his OEM primary cats in the OEM location allowing him to run shorty headers too. Just a couple of options to think about.

Those are not going to gain anymore then stock. The actual factory header is not the restrictive part. The actual cat pipes are the bottle neck in the exhaust.

my 2 cents...

flex fuel would net you much better gains at a fraction of the cost...
