Less than a few years ago, a stripped car would've come without air, power seats and windows, no tilt/telescopic, no radio, etc. etc. All these are forced on us now. All that mattered to me was the LS3 and the color-- Nothing else !!!

Agreed. My first car was the base of all base cars. It had none of the items you listed above. It didn't even have a passenger side mirror. When I installed an aftermarket AM/FM cassette, I had to install an antenna.

Ha ha I remember some of those cars. I guess I'm old. I still have my 1st car. 1967 Firebird with manual drum brakes,am radio, no a/c,manual seats, no pass side mirror. It had windshield washer though!

Your first sounds like my first car, 67 Camaro. But I had the RS package.

I wouldn't call my 1SS fully stripped.It came with the MyLink radio but without the navigation part, wish it did.About the only other things that I wished it had were the backup camera and maybe heated mirrors.I can do without everything else that the 2SS has though.

Really the thing I want most from the 2SS package is the oil pressure gauge

I can't believe that didn't come standard on all these cars
