Did you install a low side?(aux pump)

700-750RWHP SAE on E30. It will be hard out of lowside with much more than E30 if you don't have an aux pump.

If you install an aux pump you should be able to run E60 at minimum.

Not yet... gonna go through the remote tune with JRE as is, and see how bad the fueling looks. Speaking to Ted, he believes I will be running out of injector before the low side, so we will see... Stay tuned and thanks for all the help Mike! Can't wait to see the gains from your blower porting, and show off all the cool Katech goodies at the next cars and coffee!

Hey guys I have an update... after weeks of work, a fair amount of blood, sweat and tears... several late nights and plenty of self doubt, today was the day to bring my baby back to life!

I sent the last few days installing the wiring harness, sensors and working through the hose management of my modified PCV system with new MM CC, and Katech Valve Covers. That took alot of patience.

Last night I used my DMS adapter to fill my HX system with 2 gallon fender tank, but damn it was messy. I bypassed the reply in order to get the system flowing, but after a while my funnel would back flow and soaked all of my new work :(

So i gave up on the adapter and opted for a 2" length of 3/4" hose and a large funnel so i could control when the funnel was open or closed. I think the new system took about 3 gallons total, and I kept bleeding and burping the fender tank under noting but fluid would come from the bleeder valve.

Filling the coolant was easier, and by 8am this morning it was time for TED to remote into my laptop, install the temp tune file and hope for the best...

I'll admit, although she did fire up within 5-6 seconds of cranking she ran like crap for 10-15 seconds then stalled. Tried again, even worse. Checked for codes, nothing... all looked good data wise, so we tried again and the idle held, and we were able to get some data. The "slightly" tuned idle already sounds killer, and I cant wait for her to run strong. I took her out for a quick 5-8 min shake down run in the neighborhood, and she ran fine... just a little jerky down low, but I know it will be better after tuning.

My only issue is that my fans never turned on so my IAT's were getting hot at idle and putting around at 15mph. Sent the data log to TED for feedback and instructions.
I will take some photos soon... here is a quick walk around for first "slightly" tuned audio porn!

Question for the pro's... how can I make sure my Tstat is opening and my HX / Coolant flow is working?

The blower sounded so bad-ass during the shake down drive! The combo of porting, billet lid, and 20% OD makes it sound like a missile, even at low RPM... Can't wait to get her dialed in so i can take some video to share.

This project has been so damn fun! But has been equally stressful and frustrating. I've found that even purchasing high quality parts, from quality vendors does not eliminate fitment issues, and with lack or poor of instructions with most parts doing this DIY requires alot of patience and research. Which has been a surprising element to the build.

Thanks guys, me too... the remote tuning has begun, I would guess to have dyno numbers in a few weeks. I still don't have a "go to" shop in the area with a dynojet. May have to drive out of town.

I also just found an oil leak :(

I think it's my passenger side valve cover... gonna drive it again soon to try and confirm. Big downer :(
