Is there any company that makes a cover that will specifically fit a 1LE? I contacted Covercraft as I wasn't sure if their cover took into account the different spoiler and lower front lip on the 1LE package (not to mention I have added side skirts) and all they have on their website is a catchall SS listing. The lady I spoke with didn't have any idea if there would be issues with it fitting and had me email some pictures to their sales department but that was last week and I haven't heard anything back from them.

Now, you're up north and are storing your car through the winter, right? You attach a Battery Tender or equivalent to the car and lay a microfiber towel on the body where the cord is laying on the body, right? A Noah car cover is like laying a microfiber towel on the car. You don't drag it, you roll it out. Once on, it doesn't move. Storing outside, you'll get swirls from wind movement. That's still better than sun beating on it, bird droppings and leaves sitting on it. It'll also save the body in a hailstorm.

Black car = dust ... and if the dust is not handled properly: swirls.

Lots of choices in covers, but sooner or later they all pick up dirt on the paint-facing side, and make it worse not better.

IMO you'll do better (with no swirls ever) with full car self-healing PPF and a good durable hydrophobic. Hydrophobic helps keep dirt off (and makes it easy to clean off when it gets dirty) and the PPF prevents swirls.

Yes it's thousands instead of hundreds. But it works. Not a swirl on any of my PPF'd panels in 5 years and a quick shot of detailer with a MF is all it usually needs before a drive.

I bought the Gm one a few years ago. The under layer is softer than a fleece blanket. It’s not going to hurt the paint. I just put mine on for winter storage. The trick to putting it on, is to lay out in your house, then roll it up towards the rear. Then it will take you a less than a minute to put it on as you can roll right into place from back to front. When I first got the cover it was a pain right out of package because, I couldn’t find the front end tag and did want to set on the garage floor

Not certain on the long term durability however it fit my 1LE. My car is ceramic coated so it can be slick if putting the cover on by yourself.

I use the plushweave California car cover on my black SS.. And I bring the charger cord up from the bottom so it's not laying on the paint...
