Need info & Wondering if I’m paying a fair price for 2010 SS with 36500 miles on it

I saw an older gentlemen putting a for sale sign on his 2010 SS (Automatic), color black with 36k on the engine. I did notice a few mods and ones he told me about. Has a cold air intake, headers and exhaust are all aftermarket and sound great.

One thing I’m unfamiliar with is he mentioned that he upgraded to a 3.93 gear rear end, flexfuel delete (not sure what this is), traction bar assembly (not sure about this), and superchips tuner (I understand what tuning does but still don’t know much).

Said he’s firm at $16k for it. I did run a carfax. No accidents and he’s the second owner since 2014 and put 30k of the miles on it.

Price sounds reasonable as a quick check shows prices on KBB at $14k to $15k with 120k on the clock.

393 or 391 on the butt gears? 2SS or 1SS? RS package? Either way, it seems like a bargain to me. Assuming there isn't anything major that is obviously wrong, I wouldn't hesitate if I was looking for an automatic SS. Low miles means a lot to me when I am shopping.

I guess 393? I’m not entirely sure. I don’t really have the mechanical knowledge to know why he upgraded it or what it does. Any idea if I can tell if it’s a 2 or 1 SS by the VIN?

Possibly, not sure. The 2SS has navigation, reverse camera, Boston Acoustics stereo, and other amenities. A google search will tell you.

You mentioned in your 1st post it has 3.93 gears. Stock gears are I believe 3.45. This means your engine will run at a higher rpm vs. what the stock gears run at. More pep off the line.
2 SS will have color matched roof moldings, Boston Acoustics stereo (stock), leather seats, hid headlights with halos.

Stock SS auto rear is 3.24. I did 3.91 fairly early and absolutely love it. Still running that ratio, albeit on a fully built forged Eaton.

My 2013 SS/RS 1SS has HIDs with halos. Part of the RS package?

My 2015 has 3.43 or something like that. Build sheet shows it too. I would love to have 3.91s! Had those in my first 69 GTO and they were brutal.

You are correct sir. I mistook it for 2SS components.

Leather seats are a dead giveaway for 2SS.

Sorry the 6L80 had a 3.27, not 3.24. The manual had the 3.45. I believe ZL-1 was 3.73 and 1LE has the 3.91. The Dusk edition might be different or maybe it was an option.
