In a pinch I've plugged it (pulled the nail out) and used a buddies portable compressor to air it back up in a parking lot at work.

Had a blowout on a rear tire on my 5th gen ZL1 aways from home. Whatever caused the blowout left a hole large enough that the included fix-a-flat nor the cordless tire pump I had had a chance in hell of inflating the tire again.

I pressed the OnStar button, and they arranged to send a flat bed and had it towed to my local dealer.
Fairly simple.

I had a screw that I thought was a rock, scrubbed it off and then.. ruh roh, started loosing air fast. Pulled over at about 10psi, tried to air it up, but it was slow go. Tried the tire goo and just like first time I helped use it, it was total flop. Not sure how much I got in there, but proceeded to reair tire and get off the highway. Found tire shop, refilled tire and headed home - was less than mile out. Had local tire shop repair the puncture.

As fix, I now carry tire patch kit ( cords n glue ) instead of goo-in-a-can.

Scariest part -- having cars zoooom past you at 80mph! Don't take your eyes off that traffic - most folks are barely driving.

I'm not sure about the tire-goo included with ZL1s but I dealt with this with my Lexus RCF. After using the goo, I came to find out that the goo can mess up your TPMS sensor. Also, the goo did nothing for my situation and had to flatbed the car anyways. So to Vtor_ZL1's point, carry a patch kit and portable inflator, if that doesn't work call a tow truck.

No problem, at least in my case. I watched carefully as they winched it onto the flat bed to assure the front splitter didn't scrape..

I had a really bad experience with Cehvy roadside when it happened to me, locally the tow company was foul and those two couldn't communicate with each other well at all. I was on the side of the road for hours, then got it trucked over to the closest dealership.
It was at that time that I added roadside to my auto policy, they'll take it where ever I want/closest/etc which I think will work better for me.
I may opt for the compact spare though I could keep a plug kit in the trunk with the inflator.

What compact spare would work on the ZL1? I'd definitely consider one as well.

I bought a full kit when I had my ZL1. It easily fits in the trunk.

A fullsize 305/30/20 fits in the trunk with ease so this is not a problem.
