Thumbs up Black Horse reviews

What MT mentions comparing the Dark Horse VS Camaro:

"As good as the Dark Horse is, Chevy's muscle car may still go down as the best-handling gas muscle car of all time. Compared to the Mustang, a Camaro SS 1LE or ZL1 built on GM's excellent Alpha platform has a lighter, nimbler, and more playful spirit."

For some reason Ford was able to make the car even heavier. Dark Horse is almost 4000lbs in automatic trim. That is around 250 lbs over the ss 1le and torque is also down as well. In and out of the corner acceleration is definitely going to be slower but it makes up for it on the long straights. If they do a comparison, i am thinking Throttle House might, i am hoping for an auto vs auto or manual vs manual apples to apples comparison.

Hopefully they put some of that weight into making the chassis less of a wet noodle.

EDIT after watching the vids: Doesn't sound like it. The engineers in Savagegeese's video talk about not changing the stampings because "accountants suck" (paraphrased) and the R&T article says "The windshield, floorpan, and firewall are all pretty much carryover as are the suspension design and most dimensions." So it's still a wet noodle, but they've "tuned it" to be better. So ... for $20k more money you get $5k more in the "suspension pack."

Bottom line, for ZL1 money you can buy a car that's still worse than a 1SS 1LE on the track. And pretty soon it will be the only game in town. Hold onto your 6th gen Camaros boys-n-girls. They're about to get just that much more valuable.

The Camaro SS1LE or the ZL1 continues to be a better option for the money. No excuse for the '24 Mustang GT and Dark Horse muted steering feel. Here is another DH review: https://www.thedrive.com/car-reviews...ican-track-car

Why not buy a used gt350. What am I missing.

Or even bigger question, spend a little bit more for a zl1?

For the money I think that the Camaro SS1LE and ZL1 would be a better option. Will love to see a H2H lap times.

Some buyers don't like buying used, for one reason or another. At the same time, plenty of buyers are of the mindset to have to buy the newest offering on the market. There are a multitude of reasons why there are far better deals in multiple aspects, but it's one of the things where, I'm sure, FoMoCo knows full and well that by simply offering this, regardless of the reviews and the takes of enthusiasts, they'll sell every single one they build.

For the majority that's fine as most won't even track their cars. These are going to sell like hotcakes regardless how they perform.

Cowl shake in the 2024 Mustang Convertible still at an unacceptable level, as per several reviews.
I've owned two new Mustangs and have a genuine soft spot for them ( only Ford I'd ever buy) but very glad to be getting a 24 2SS vert.
