Noob question

Hey all,

I did a search, but couldn't find anything, which tells me there's a chance this is a clown-question.

I'm planning on autocrossing and drag racing, probably 50-50 split as far as time to each activity goes. Would the installation of a performance Torque converter to improve the launch at the strip cost me on the autocross track? I'd assume that the converter would be locked up on the autocross track anyways (at the RPM range I see on many people's PDR), but I wanted to double-check with you all.

Thanks either way!!
