Time to think about new tires

Had oil change done, said id prob get 8-10 thousand out of my tires...will be around 22k on the original Pirellis...like more mileage out of the next set...any recommendtions..prefer somewhere between least expensive and top of the line. Was thinking about maybe some redlines or redwalls...does anyone have a pic with some on their car..mine is a 2013 SS convert...thanks

toyo proxes 4+ 50k more tires that's all season performance radial like the pilot sports with a over 500 wear rating compared to the Pirellis 220 and still the same high speed and traction...good luck. Not into red lines for the old school look on this new a car with low sidewall its kind of ...MER....

Doubt you'll find any red line sizes in 20", or in less than about 60-series profile. Haven't seen redlines in ages, so you'd probably have to shop at Coker Tire to find anything at all.

If Michelin has anything in any of their 'Pilot' tire lines that fits your wheels and your street driving, it's pretty hard to avoid suggesting that you look there.

I would suggest checking out some tire stores (Tire Rack, Discount tire)....they give you customer rating, est. tread wear, tech. info., etc. It'll give you an idea.
Also, have you considered a square set up? Being able to rotate tires lets you squeeze a few more miles out of them.

+1, Tire Rack is hard to beat for their prices. They'll ship directly to an installer as well. If you're in Smyrna DE, they have a distr. center in DE so your installer will get them next business day.
The guys at Tiresplus said they can't touch Tire Racks prices!

I have the nitto invos for everyday driving. Always have had good experience with nitto and they are not terribly expensive.

If you're still running stock sizing, I'd recommend the Copper Zeon RS3-S tires. Have them on my SS and love them.

BTW unlike the stock Pirellis the toyos overhang my rims protecting the rims. I think there is a guy with wheels, ( rocket racing), like mine in New York/Jersey on here with redlines you may see him on here he is in a blue ss.... hes going old school some how....

What type of 2013 tires 18s or 20s? If you have 18s you can expect to save 600 or so over 20s.
