No tune needed for muffler delete. I have a corsa and I don't remember much about the stock exhaust but on my exhaust the muffler have a clamp literally 6 inches behind them. Unbolt the clamp and slide the mufflers out. Now your exhaust should end a little bit behind the diff and be slightly pointed at the ground, or at least mine would be, you can leave it like that or you can buy a muffler delete kit through a couple of companies. All the kit does is run the exhaust to the factory holes in the rear splitter without a muffler. Hope this helps.

Hey there… do it! I have a 14 SS with long tube headers, Cai, High flow cats, tune and a muffler delete and I love it. Sure after a while you get use to it and then you want a cam but it def is a nice sound. I bought quad exhaust and had them powder coated black to match my car theme and they just welded them on and boom…instant sound.

Well, throw on 3" pipes all the way to the back, about as loud as it's gonna get. Will definitely get some attention. Or you could put in some cut outs, so you can pick and choose when and where you want to be loud.

Where can I buy the 3" pipes? I can't seem to find the X pipe or H pipe from kooks. Or how do I go about deleting the mufflers

They unbolt right next to the rear axle.

Send me your NPP mufflers, go to a muffler shop, and have them bend pipe and stick a tip on the end

Yep, find a good custom muffler shop that mandrel bends. Not sure how much it'll cost, but it can't be any more than the pre-fabbed kits.

Before you chop your mufflers off, do the NPP fuse pull. The fuse is in the trunk and it will keep the flaps open all of the time instead of only above a certain rpm. Your other option along those lines would be to get a mild to wild switch so that when you need it quieter you can clip a switch and close the flaps.

After the LT headers get a full 3" x-pipe to true 3" exhaust straight pipe out the exit...

That is what I have and is plenty loud. I will need to get mufflers once I get the cam though, it will be too much without the mufflers, imo! My neighbors already hate me

I think exhaust cutouts are great because you can tone it down a bit (closing cutouts). Does anyone know if you tuned out afm on an L99, and put cutouts in place of resonator, would it sound like an LS3 with cutouts?

No. The L99 has a less aggressive cam
