Gone to an Exotic Car Dealer just to look?
Has anyone gone to an Exotic Car Dealer (Ferrari, Lambo, etc.) just to look at the cars?
Were you disrespected because they knew you were not buying? |

We stop by a place called Specialty Cars out in the bay area once in a while, they deal with classics/exotics, they have always treated us great, just like you would expect a salesman at any regular car dealership to treat you.

not to Exotics......but back in the day, a buddy of mine and his wife would get all dressed up, like major dressed up....and would go to car dealers looking at new cars and get the salesmen to allow them to take test drives......LOL little did they know he was a poor sailor! LOL They had a blast.

I have seen someone buying a Mercedes SLR wearing Jean shorts and a T-shirt. And he was getting ready to fork out about 400K for the car. |

most high end sales do not walk up and sale you cars - most expect you to know what you want when you come in and pick your car up already sold.

I have done it many times! They are always pretty cool, as I am sure that they get walk ins all the time.
About a year ago I went into a Lamborghini dealership with my Uncle, who at the time drove a 458 Italia, and we drove the 458 to the dealership, and the treatment that I received with my Uncle was so dramatically different then when went by myself. But each time I've gone they've been really nice |

The only time I have ever been treated poorly or given attitude when looking at a high end car was about 4 years ago when I went to a FORD DEALER to look at a Ford GT. They were all eager to talk to me when I walked into the showroom but as soon as I said I was there to see the GT they got all snooty. Hilarious yet aggravating.
Paul on the other hand, has a great story about a trip to a Lambo dealership in Florida. |

Ford dealers should never have sold the GT - Ford should of let brokers sale them, they would have gotten more for them.
