Radar detectors - for Speeding
Does anyone have recommendations?
I am in the market for a 2014 Camaro and I want to enjoy it. Enjoy it = safely speed when I can. Keyword = safely. All of the reasonably priced ones ($100-$200) are crazy. Crazy meaning you cant understand them. Why do I have to purchase one for $400 just for it too say Speedcamera. The reasonable ones say Ka band etc. Does anyone have a word to point me in a reasonably priced direction? |

Buy a "refurbished" Escort Passport 8500 x50 from Car Toys $175. like $325 new. pics up amazing. (regular car mounted radar up to 2mi away, ofcourse has to be perfect conditions for that) but even the refurbs have a 6mo warranty. and Escort has AMAZING quality anyways. you wont be sorry.

I bought a Beltronics top of the line 3 years ago, which means its sorely in need of upgrading. Agree with the previous post. The Escort X50 won the most recent head to head to head test and $175 is a steal!

and as new stuff comes out they update the software, and you can send them in and have them updated, cleaned, and recalibrated. for like 50-$75
