Production time for orders placed after 11/1/15

Seeing some of the order status from other members making orders in July or August are now getting confrontation that there orders are made and or ready to ship. Some are close to 4 months in already. When do you think the the orders placed this month should be filled? Will it be quicker then 12 weeks? Will it be pushed ahead to get out sooner?

Status 1100 as of 11/10/15

I am hoping for a mid January delivery, and would assume things will pick up speed as time goes on. Someone here will have a more precise and thoughtful answer I am sure. I would love to hear some better info on this subject too, as I ordered on 11-03-15

The reason it has taken 4 months is that production didn't actually begin until October.

It basically took 1 month from when my dealership got allocation until my car got built.

I'm anticipating that I will get my car in December. I think that is in line with time frames I have seen thrown around of 8-12 weeks.

Carlson above already has a TPW and is at 3000 status. That happened very quickly - though his build date is a month out.

Would be nice to find out a timeframe. Would like to have my car by the end of March-Beginning of April. Would like to figure out when I should order. Don't need it delivered in the middle of a Upstate NY winter!

Becky said the order cycle runs Thursday thru Tuesday. I ordered on Wednesday 10/28 SRE and still at 1100. I guess if you ordered on Wednesday it's picked up on Thursday. Event History 10/28 1100=order accepted, 10/28 1102 order added thru web, 10/28 2051 Order changed thru web. Changed from TRE to SRE.

Let's hope production speeds up. Thanks for all the input everyone I appreciate it. Is it true my dealer says gm closes from the 15th till the first of the year? That's what I was told by him so they think mid January I should have it.

GM Assembly halts from the day before Christmas Eve to the day after New Years Day, adjusted for calendar peculiarities. For example, if New Years Day is Thursday, the plants will add in Friday, otherwise one would do a plant start up for one day then close it down for a weekend.

6 weeks is a good ball park. I have seen a few days quicker and we all are well aware of more time longer. 8 weeks if rail is involved.

So if I am looking for the end of March-beginning of April, end of Jan-beginning of Feb should be a good time to order?

Shouldn't take long at all. I order mine a about a week before November... And guys here are pretty much agreeing that it's most likely I'll get it sometime in January

Beginning of January to mid January is probably when we should all expect it. It will be a late Christmas gift. I doubt there will be that many even out on the road by then either
