Lt1 options
In the market for an lt1. Without custom ordering having a tough time finding what I want. Would I be better off getting a bare lt1 from a dealer and adding aftermarket stuff like the splitter and spoiler myself? Or what? Is it possible to easily add these things when they aren't dealer installed?

As far as the splitter..unless you’re buying a expensive “package”, that includes one, buy an inexpensive aftermarket piece. |

If you want options, avoid the LT1. The LT1 is the bargain for someone who does not care or need options, like me.

Here is my Lt1 like you are requesting. Deck lid spoiler and I added splitter, lowered on Phastek springs. Replaced the 20x8.5s on the rear with 20x9.5 Twisted split spoke wheels, changed to Nitto 555G2s up front and 305-35-20 Nitto Drag Radials on the rear. Mine does have the RS and Bose package.

removed the stock blade that came with it added a drake wicker bill + wrapped the hood and ceramic tinted windows Need to get some wider (ss perhaps) wheels for the rears Base trunk (unless you order the spoiler) comes bare/no holes. blade spoiler will not fit a SS/ZL1 spoiler without drilling & filling, but will fit drakes. you only need to cover 1 or 2 holes (I used 3m VHB) I BELIEVE the SS style/zl1 holes are the same (hopefully someone can confirm) You can order any number of spoilers (blade/SS style) on a LT1 Get the spoiler style you want to avoid headaches |

Ordered my black '23 LT1 in May with body colored blade spoiler. By the time I took delivery in October, black was not available, only red, white and blue. Some will say the only way to spec an LT1 is base with no options. I went with the Recaros and Tech pack options and very glad I did in the end. Recently installed a take-off 2SS leather knee pad set (console and door) just to finish off the interior. Moral to the story is "get what you want" since its your money and your car.

Here is my ordered LT1, naked and unsuspecting as a sleeper should be in my opinion.
Only option was the 10 speed auto and the $100 wheel option. MSRP was 36690.00. There was a 1000 rebate a the time, cost me 35690.00. Last edited by lt4camaro; 07-10-2023 at 07:24 PM. |

We think alike, I ordered mine radiant red with the just the Recaro seats. As a kid in the '60s I thought one of the coolest cars was the 409 Biscayne.

Yes indeed, Plain Jane 2 dr sedan cars of the later 50s and 60s and 70's always intrigued me. I even had a 1970 2 dr post all white 442, my favorite though was a 68 chevelle 300 (not even a 300 deluxe) 2 dr post, factory radio delete car. It was a 6 cyl glide car, I built it into a 4 speed 396 car and you could not tell from the outside. Super sleeper. Also Loved full size 2 dr sedan cars with 327s, 348s, 409s, 396s, 427s, biscaynes, delrays, 210s etc

You may not be old enough, but back in the day starting in the late 40s it was either a 2 dr hardtop or a 2 dr sedan, a 4 dr hardtop or a 4 dr sedan. Hardtop meaning no center post that went up to the roof separating the door openings. A 2 door sedan had a center post that separated the door opening from the 1/4 window. Eventually 2 dr sedan cars were being referenced as 2 dr post cars. The coupe phrase started in the 30s and lasted into 40s.
