Does anyone have a Camaro specific JMS fuel pump booster write up ?

Hey guys

I'm going to be installing the JMS fuel pump booster soon and was wondering anyone had a more Camaro specific write up available.

Or maybe some tips on where you mounted yours, etc.

Thanks alot!

I just finished mine up over the weekend. Referenced this thread: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=552426 and Jannetty's directions here: https://jannettyracing.com/pages/jms...er-gen-6-guide

PM me if you have any issues and I can try to help.

Head to the store first and pick up a 30A micro fuse, the JMS comes with a mini fuse that is too large.

I have a quick question regarding the JMS fuel voltage booster... I am installing the DSX aux fuel kit, and inquired with my speed shop about this unit as well. They recommended the DSX kit only, and not the JMS unit. I do see some shops use both the DSX and JMS units together. (for under 1000 whp of course) Not sure if there is any advantage to using both together, but it seems like most on the forum is using one or the other. Thoughts?

So with the DSX kit, some of the guys who race on road courses have discovered that fuel starvation can occur when the fuel level in the tank is below a certain point AND hard turns are being taken. The JMS voltage booster allows the pump in the tank to momentarily increase the maximum amount of fuel it can deliver, such as when you are in boost.

So there is really no advantage to this 'in normal' boosted applications for both. I don't race on road courses, but understand your reasoning here.

The advantage of the dsx kit is the additional volume of fuel it can draw. The advantage of the JMS pump booster is that it can provide a little extra fuel in a more OEM style of fuel delivery.

My brother runs JMS on stock pump a long with Cordes Auxiliary on his C7Z. It works fine on his car which is over 1k whp on E60. For anything 900 ish or lower just the Aux pump is likely fine on its own. Long as the pressure doesn't drop then you have enough fuel. My guess is those running JMS and Aux likely started with JMS and ended up needing more fuel as they increased power(as my Bro did), then added the Aux pump.

So is this to regulate voltage or should you just get a bigger in tank pump than lt4 and skip the jms?

The answer to your question depends on your end goals, fuel type and your set up.

we used to always just put a bigger intank pump in. Most recently on my 4th Gen I had 1 450 walboro in tank and then went turbo and added another. In this car people want you to add a lt4 in tank (don’t know rating) and then add a jms booster on top of that. Why not just do a 450 or 525 in tank?

Most people shooting for huge power just go for the Fore triple pump system.
