New 2015 1SS 1LE in Florida
Just picked it up Saturday. It has 20k miles. Came with SW long tubes, the z28 CAI, stock NPP. It has a tuner in the glovebox but I'm unsure if it has a tune. Will be tuning it with dynosteve soon.
Limited options on my 1LE. Didn't come with a backup camera or the center guages. No nav or leather. No cool RS lights. It did come with the sunroof and NPP though. I love it so far but have quite a few questions as far as what all is included in the 1LE that's not in the 1SS/2SS mechanical wise(clutch, beefier rear end, etc) The reason I ask about the clutch is this one seems to have a lot of noise/chatter when accelerating, is that normal? Next few mods will be cosmetic probably, get some aftermarket headlight and tail light assemblies. After that will probably be stage2 cam and better oil pump(preventative.) Last question is can we fit 315/35/20 on the 1LE rims without rubbing? Thx again, sorry for the long post |

I just got my 2014 2ss 1le with 32k miles as well.
It seems to have chatter 1st and 2nd gear only from what I can tell. Slightly not horrible. How much did you get yours for If you don’t mind me asking? |

Congrats on the 1LE! 315/35/R20 will work on the rear. I ran that size Continental DW's on my bone stock 1LE. I've seen others on this forum run the same size in the rear. It looks mean as hell.

How about the clutch, slave, carrier bearing, and also the rear end are they the same as in the normal SS. I know it has 3.91 but more specifically if it's the same everything else. I've heard and read that these are the weak links in the SS models and I would rather just replace those first so I have no major problems if the 1LE has the same parts.

I'm in the Orlando area as well, mines a 1SS, and if you ever have the desire to take it out for a track weekend come join us at Sebring sometime. I instruct and run time trials with NASA Florida and we'll be at Sebring 5 times next year. Here's the schedule if you're interested. 2020 Sebring Schedule
Beautiful car and a great price! |
