Install OEM Carbon Flash flags

Is this a 2015 part? I think they have to be?...they are a GM part and came in GM packaging. Thanks to NYVette007 for finding these on Ebay at this link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/131192177041...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

anyway they are really nice, esp on my CG color... I had solid Carbon flash+ clear flags on the car, but these are subtle and pop at the same time, due to the red...These are approx 120 a pair, I'm happy, they are OEM quality...

before the inevitable "how do you do this?", Search "debadge" here - using fishing line, goo gone and alcohol...

thanks again Basil!

Looks good Glen.

I put them on them on my Arctic White C7 about 3 weeks ago and they really do "complete" the look I was going for!

Those do look sharp on CGM. And yes, they are 2015 pieces. They will be optional on all Stingrays and Z06s according to Harlan Charles at the Bash in April. They are the same badges seen on several of the Z06 show cars. The Carbon Flash will also be available on the rear Corvette script and the side Stingray emblems.

Nice! The carbon flash pieces really work on the white. I like both the CF and chrome on the Cyber Gray. I'm gradually accenting with real carbon fiber to match my top, with a touch of chrome for "pop". As soon as I get a decent day of weather I'm going to paint the red flag on all emblems carbon flash, but leave the chrome as is.

Did the lettering come with some type of template? How did you keep the spacing and lining up correct with the multiple parts that make up the lettering?

Thanks!

No template!

What I did was remove one individual piece at a time and replaced it with the CFM equivalent. Then just repeated the process over and over again until each of the individual pieces (5) had been replaced. Start at one end and work your way to the other.

A bit time consuming but it ensured that it would be perfect alignment since there isn't a template.....

Huh. I picked up a pair of chrome Corvette letter sets and they came set into a rigid foam holder that spaces the letters perfectly. All I would have to do is center the foam piece and keep it level.then press the whole thing on as a set. The foam acts as a template. It even has two small indexing holes in opposite corners, I figure for an installation tool used at the factory.

Glen,
Have a blade silver and think the carbon flash badges will look good. Will remove fish on sides as per Z06, IMO car looks better without. Have not decided on lettering in back, my C6(GS) did not have it. Going to try removal of badges tommorrow as per your instructions.
Thanks,
Frank Jr
