RidgebackKing,

I ordered everything in Carbon Flash Metallic (Front/Back Corvette Emblems, 2 side Stingray emblems) from RPIdesigns. Great group of guys to work with. Have nothing but great things to say about them.

I know that they recently had the building fire, so there may be a delay in the parts should you decide to purchase. They are custom painted.

A little patience and you'll be able to corder carbon flash emblems right from your dealer parts department. Along with body color vent pieces, and Shark Gray vent pieces. These are all options upcoming on the 2015 models. According to Harlan Charles, there will even be sone carbon fiber pieces available through the parts department, though he didn't say which ones.

Well, there is that. Can't argue your price is right! It's just that some of us aren't the best painters in the world, or have too dusty an environment to work in. Your work looks excellent! Mine, not so much....

You nailed it purpleRac3r!

Glen's work speaks for itself. I don't have the desire, means or patience to take that task on. Its easier to order and install myself.......

Can't argue with desire or means but it takes no skill for parts like these. I never painted anything until this year. Practice on a few plastic parts like a fuse cover and you can do it easily.

This is exactly what I did with the Stingray emblems. I ordered two replacement emblems and followed this guide to paint them. I ordered new ones because I want to use one of the ones I pull off the car as a card capper at the poker table I was hoping to pull off the existing "corvette" and paint it as well but then I wouldn't know how to restick it.

My emblems ready and waiting...

1. Original OEM GM Stingray emblems
2. One after a wet sand
3. After Dawn and alcohol, a coat of primer
4. 3 coats of Carbon Flash Metallic
5. Final product after 3 coats of clear gloss.

Thanks Glen E for your great instructions!

P.S. The black "nose" on the last picture is the blue adhesive shield you see in the first picture. It will come off when I mount them

Yes, was giving them a few days to really finish drying but was too excited to not post pics as soon as I could

if you are using automotivetouchup's clear you can polish in 24-36 hours....the two polishes that make paint look like a yamaha piano are meguire"s 105 and then 205....25 strokes of 105 and then 75 strokes of 205....(or thereabouts...LOL)
