Just got off the phone with Don my service writer. New 2019 fluid came in Monday 2/4, and its what they will use on my car when they change it next Monday 2/11. At least this is the information I was told, that it is the 2019 Q1 fix. Will update this thread when I get more info!

Thx, keep us posted... I’ve had TC replacement, then triple flush a year later... last month I stopped in to let them know it’s back... & they started with the “our tech needs to drive it to feel the stutters” lol I said dude it’s beeb documented & worked on here already for this! It doesn’t always do it on command! Fml

I need to show up with the new tsb info & demand it be done.

Hello, I own a 2016 Camaro SS A8 with 43k miles. I first had the ahrudder issue back in March 2017. Back then the flush was done and torque converter was replaced. Now two years later I’m having the same shrudder problem again. Has anyone had this issue come back again? If so was it still covered by warranty?

Same here, my perm fix just occurred tonight... traded her in for a Durango R/T! Good luck with your GM. I’m done. (Plus new baby on the way).

Before I would even think about losing up to 10k on a trade in I'll opt to get a new TC, Procharger stage 2 and tune. Problem solved

Just found this thread. I was wondering about the shudder issue too since I am considering getting a 18 auto, but heard there may be issues. But looks like it is no big deal and if it does develop it, it sounds like you just need it serviced with the new fluid.

So has anyone actually gotten this fixed for good? Seems like a lot of band-aids. I have 2016 v6, just left the dealership who stated they didn't feel it except for one instance. Even let the service manager drive the car, but of course I felt it on the way home. The first time they reset the tcm after I told that wouldn't fix it. This time they wouldn't even accept the car, but will get back with me if GM has any suggestions. It's not as bad others are reporting but I'd like to do something before the warranty is up and gets worse. I liked the car but honestly I'm looking at selling it as I don't know if I'll ever really trust it.

For good would be an aftermarket TC and a tune w/trans tuning. I bet you wont have that problem anymore. Plus your car will be quite a bit faster. Thats what I would do.

I believe TSB 18-NA-355 has a specific test where a tech connects a laptop with GM diagnostic software and takes the car on a test drive to verify if the car has the problem or not. It isn't a "seat of the pants" diagnostic. Maybe time to take the car to a different dealership for diagnosis and resolution while you are still within the powertrain warranty.

I've been riding with the new fix for about 2500 miles now and it's been fine so far(fingers crossed).

Get mine done next week. A friend of the family, who is a GM power train engineer, says this new fluid and procedure should be the permanent fix. I'm not counting on it, but if it is I'll be blown away lol

I'm looking at a 2018 leftover with a build date of July 25, 2017. Do you think this date is safe with regard to shudder/friction modifier etc. Thanks
